UNITED FATHERS OF AMERICA
United
Fathers of America is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in California.
United Fathers of America’s Mission Statement
United Fathers is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children, whose rights are often ignored during and after the breakdown of their parent’s relationship.
What is the purpose of United Fathers of America?
The primary purpose of United Fathers of America is to obtain, disseminate, and exchange educational materials and information concerning the social (impact on the community), economic (impact on the family’s finances), and psychological impact (effect on individual emotions) relating to family reorganization (divorce, paternity, and related family court issues).
United Fathers Goals:
For years we at United Fathers of America have been particularly concerned about America preaching “family values” while it maintains an adversarial family court system that destroys families for the almighty dollar. How much is little Johnny or Susie worth to you (financially and emotionally)? It has been our experience at United Fathers that many practices are flawed and injurious to the family structure, practices (such as child support based on percentage of time with the child), presumptions (presuming the court will provide satisfaction for emotional wounds), and assumptions (assuming that anything in family court has anything to do with truth, justice, or the American way).
Unfortunately, these practices, presumptions, and assumptions continue without sound scientific merit and with little research. Awareness of these trends has alerted United Fathers to the urgent and continuing need for our innovative programs.
This site is based on the award-winning program developed by Dr. Chapman in addressing the three primary barriers that prevent fathers/parents from remaining actively and positively involved with their children during and after a relationship breakup.* The three primary barriers are 1) intimidation by the court process, 2) misinformation, and 3) the financial drain caused by the family court process. The information and education available to our members on this site is designed to assist in reducing these primary barriers.
The adversarial process is working against families This site was developed in response to the thousands of calls, emails, letters (snail mail) from dedicated dads across America fighting to remain actively involved in their children’s lives.
You are not alone, this site was developed for you.
United Fathers is an IRS 501(c)3 public benefit nonprofit organization.
